A man who was injured at a speedway event in Auckland on Saturday night remains in a critical condition.
The man in his 50s, is understood to be a photographer, and was hit by a stock car at Waikaraka Park Speedway just before 8.30pm.
The speedway's president, Frank Irvine, said he was in the infield in the middle of the track.
The victim was taken to Auckland Hospital with critical injuries, including broken legs.
The Serious Crash Unit and Worksafe are investigating.
According to the park's website last night's event was part of the Superstock Championships.
