“Never get tired of doing little things for others. Sometimes, those little things occupy the biggest part of their hearts.”
I started thinking about my mother the other day when I came across a letter she had written to me years ago. When I read what she had written it was as if I was reading it for the first time and again I experienced her love coming through.
It also, as an adult, allowed me to see my mother in a different light through her writings. I can look back now and see so many of those little things she quietly did for me, and others around her, and the generosity of heart she always exhibited.
Never underestimate the power that a small action or word can have on another, perhaps even years later.
What small kindness could you do for another today?
